The main line of defense against bacteria is keeping your mouth clean and healthy. Routine dental visits for professional cleaning and examination, in addition to regular brushing and flossing at home, helps not only your oral health, but your overall health.

Initial Exam

Your first examination at Victor Dental Care includes a visual examination, periodontal probing, evaluation of any previous dental records, diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment. X-rays, both panoramic and bite-wing, are taken to visualize the position and condition of the teeth, especially below the gumline. If a cracked tooth is suspected, we use transillumination imaging.

Biannual Dental Cleaning

Every six months you should make an appointment for a professional dental cleaning and dental examination. Professional cleaning removes plaque and tartar that can become cavities. Digital x-rays may be taken to monitor your teeth for cavities or abnormalities that cannot be seen in a visual exam.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Our dentists prefer tooth-colored fillings to metal fillings. They provide all of the strength with maximum aesthetics, making you look as though you have no fillings at all! Using the latest technology, we can replace your old fillings, bridges, and crowns with natural-looking porcelain restorations.
